Sadly my whole video tutorial on this was deleted by my phone. Heartbreaking and tragic. However, I do have a video on how to make the easiest beautifully formed chocolate curls HERE. I also have the incomparable Titan Peeler linked on my Amazon store front that I used to make the chocolate shavings.. It's my best friend and I've had it for years.

-I large Chocolate bar for shavings. Watch my video on how to make the easiest chocolate shavings!
Step 1: Make the Oreo Crust
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and melted butter until well mixed.
4. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
5. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
Step 2: Make the French Silk Filling
1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the chopped chocolate until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
3. Add in the melted chocolate and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating on high speed for about 5 minutes after each addition. This is important to ensure the filling is light and silky.
5. After all four eggs have been added and beaten in, make sure the mixture is fluffy and light in color.
Step 3: Incorporate Whipped Cream
1. In a separate mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
2. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until combined and no white streaks remain.
Step 4: Assemble the Pie
1. Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled Oreo crust and spread it evenly.
2. Cover the pie loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let it set.
1. Before serving, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder, if desired.
2. Slice and enjoy!
Tips
- Make sure to use room temperature eggs for the best results.
- For a richer flavor, you can use dark chocolate instead of semisweet.
- If you like a sweeter pie, you can add a little extra sugar to taste!
